SHIPPING

FREE SHIPPING ON ALL ORDERS OVER $100

All orders will usually be shipped out within 2-4 business days via USPS Priority Mail or FedEx Home Delivery (for heavy packages), and USPS First Class Mail (for very light packages), unless an item is back-ordered (in which case you will be notified by email and given an estimated ship date). You will receive an email with tracking information once your shipment has been sent out. Please allow 2-7 business days from the shipping date for delivery, depending on your location.

Our standard shipping rates for 2010 are currently as follows, based upon order total:

$3.00 or less: $1.50 shipping charge
$3.01 – $29.00: $7.95 shipping charge
$29.01 – $59.99: $11.95 shipping charge
$60.00 – $99.99: $14.95 shipping charge
$100 and up: FREE SHIPPING

We have recently added alternative shipping rates for Midwestern states, which includes Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Ohio, and Wisconsin:

$3.00 or less: $1.50 shipping charge
$3.01 – $29.99: $6.95 shipping charge
$30.00 – $49.99: $8.95 shipping charge
$50.00 – $99.99: $9.95 shipping charge
$100 and up: FREE SHIPPING

As you may know, shipping charges for all major shipping services have slowly been increasing throughout 2008 and early 2009. We have been working very hard to maintain reasonable shipping rates for our customers, and are proud to say our shipping charges have only increased by $1.00 since March 2008, despite much more significant rising costs by shipping carriers! We know that times are tight for many of us, and want to help ease the financial burden of ordering online as much as possible for our customers. We will continue to hold our shipping rates at their current level as long as possible!

NOTE ABOUT P.O. BOXES:
FedEx and UPS do not ship to PO Boxes, and so if you would like heavy items shipped to a PO Box, we usually must charge an additional fee, on top of the shipping charges calculated during checkout. If this is the case, we will email you once we receive your order and calculate the additional payment necessary. APO/FPO addresses incur slightly different shipping charges, based upon Post Office rates. Very large or heavy orders might not be deliverable to APO/FPO addresses.

At this time, shipping to Alaska and Hawaii incurs an additional shipping charge. Shipping is calculated according to weight, based on t the following rates:

1 pound or less: $6.95 shipping charge
1 – 3 pounds: $10.95 shipping charge
3-5 pounds: $12.95 shipping charge
5 pounds and up: $14.95

We are located in Southwest Michigan. There is a shipping option called “Store Pick-up” for local customers who would like to avoid a shipping charge. If you accidentally choose “Store Pick-up” as your shipping option, we will contact you by email and request that you send shipping payment through Paypal to orders@thegreatergreen.com.

We reuse all of the packaging materials that our products arrive in from our distributors. We also use USPS Priority Mail shipping boxes, which are certified Cradle-to-Cradle- a certification that guarantees their sustainability and minimal environmental impact. PAYMENT

Paypal Payments
Your security during your shopping experience is of the utmost importance to us. That is why we have partnered with Paypal to provide you with a secure, quick and easy payment process. You can rest assured that all of your valuable information is being processed using the latest in web security. Paypal protects your information with Verisign Identity Protection. Companies, governments and public institutions worldwide trust VeriSign to secure their sites and protect their brands.

Through Paypal, you have two payment options. If you hold an existing Paypal account, you can sign in to your account and pay through it, which means you don’t ever have to send us your financial information. PayPal protects your financial information with industry-leading security and fraud prevention systems. When you use PayPal, your financial information is not shared with the merchant. Once your payment is complete, you will be emailed a receipt for this transaction.

If you do not have an existing Paypal account, you can still process your secure order through Paypal by providing credit or debit card information. This information is still processed through Paypal’s secured system; the only difference is that if you already had a Paypal account, you would not have had to enter this information. We never see your credit card information; the transaction is handled entirely through Verisign-secured Paypal.

If you would like to pay by check or money order, please contact us at (269) 767-5668. Once your check or money order has arrived and cleared, we will happily send out your shipment.

All orders to Michigan addresses must be charged sales tax, according to state law.

INTERNATIONAL ORDERS
We are happy to ship international orders within USPS weight limits (20 pounds). For your protection and ours, we will only ship via USPS Priority Mail which provides us with electronic proof of shipment. The most economical option is usually the Flat Rate Box.

CANADA: If you reside in Canada, you can process your order normally through the shopping cart.
ALL OTHER COUNTRIES: Our shopping cart is not able to process international orders but special arrangements can be made. Please contact us with your name, full shipping address including country, and a list of products you’d like to order. Instead of going through our shopping cart, we will send you an invoice through PayPal with your total including shipping. (we currently charge exact shipping cost plus a $5 handling charge for most orders)

There is no way to determine exact shipping time, and no tracking available for international orders. However, assuming your shipment does not get delayed in customs, orders usually arrive within 6-10 days.

EXCHANGES AND RETURNS
Our customers’ satisfaction is our number one priority, and so we are happy to offer a 100% satisfaction guarantee. If for any reason you are not satisfied with your purchase, you may return the item(s) for a full refund of the original purchase price within 14 days, issued as a merchandise credit in our store. (Shipping costs are the responsibility of the customer.) Simply contact Customer Service at either (269) 767-5668 or at orders@thegreatergreen.com to let us know what you will be returning, and we will provide you with our Return Deptartment address. Then package your item and ship via the carrier of your choice. Once your return has arrived, we will credit you the original purchase price of the item, as a merchandise credit, to use in our store at your convenience.

We also offer refunds on returned items that are still in unopened, unused, undamaged condition. Please follow the same steps listed above should you need to return an item. Refunds are only offered within 30 days of the original purchase.

BACKORDERS
As much as we try to keep our items available, occasionally it may happen that an item has become back-ordered. In such cases, we will promptly contact you and let you know which item is back-ordered, and when we expect to have it in stock again. If you prefer not to wait, we also offer the option of refunding the purchase price of that item. Please contact us for more details.
