NEW Formual contains cavity fighting XYLITOL!
Xylitol fights dental bacteria on three fronts...
Unlike processed sugar, bacteria cannot use Xylitol as an energy source - Xylitol literally starves them.
Xylitol creates a non-acidic mouth environment that is
hostile to dental bacteria. The lack of acidity stifles their growth
and slowly they begin to disappear.
Xylitol works in ridding the mouth of harmful bacteria
by making them less able to stick to teeth. These bacteria become more
slippery and are then more easily washed away during tooth care.
XYLITOL is FDA approved!
About soap for teeth....
In the book "Good Teeth from Birth to
Death" by Dr. Gerard F. Judd, Ph.D., Chemistry and Fluoride Researcher
wrote that bar soap was actually one of his recommendations to good
strong teeth.
In the book "Good Teeth from Birth to Death" by Dr.
Gerard F. Judd, Ph.D., Chemistry and Fluoride Researcher, says that bar
soap was actually one of his recommendations to good strong teeth.
This is an excerpt from that book:
"Re-enamelization of the teeth occurs
when they are clean. All toothpaste make a barrier of glycerine on the
teeth which would require 20 rinses to get it off. A good solution
for clean teeth, which I have used for 5 years, is bar soap. Wet the
brush, swipe the bar two or three times with it, then brush the teeth
thoroughly and the gums gently. Rinse with water three or four times.
All oils are washed off the teeth and the gums are disinfected. The
bacteria are killed by the soap. The teeth are then ready for
re-enamelization with calcium and phosphate in the diet. The enzyme
adenosine diphosphatase delivers phosphate to the enamel surface. Do
not use liquid soaps. Their different composition is harmful to the
protoplasm.
Re-enamelization is necessary on a daily basis because the
enamel leaches slightly with water as well as the bones over decades
leading to holey bones and holey teeth even in the absence of acid
attack. Without re-enamelization, we could never have good teeth."
NOTE: Because I live in a rural area
and drink well water, I do use a toothpaste containing fluoride a
couple of times a month, as a precaution (I like Tom's of Maine). There
is no doubt that fluoride helps prevent tooth decay, but I believe we
don't need it in our drinking water and in our daily toothpaste. A
little bit here and there is plenty for me. If you drink fluorinated
municipal water, you may find that that is plenty for you, but if you
drink well water and have a poor family dental history (like me), please
consider occasionally including a bit of fluoride in your dental
routine, just to be safe!
Directions for Use:
As you can see in the photo, this soap for teeth comes in
the form of green shreds. You take one shred, and bite down on it with
your molars, so that it sticks to your teeth. You then brush over it
with a moistened toothbrush, which causes the soap to foam, and you
continue to brush until the shred has disappeared. Rinse three times.
We also recommend Eco-Dent's Daily Care Mouth Rinse
for anyone who is having mouth sensitivities, pain, or just wants to
keep their mouth clean and fresh naturally. With baking sods, echinacea,
goldenseal, and other healing natural ingredients, your mouth will
thank you for it!

Here's what customers are saying:
"Have used tooth soap from another company for a few
years now. At the rec of a friend who switched to this one, I
recently switched and couldn't be more pleased. The taste is so much
better, it costs half the price, and I'm still just as squeaky clean.
(for first-time users, I'm a huge fan of TS for the clean feeling,
but the powers of re-enamalization really shocked me: for years I had a
large chip in two teeth, and over the course of 6 or 8 months using
TS, both chips re-"grew" making me a true believer!)"
This score is a ranking based on how natural, eco-friendly, and non-toxic a product is, and is rated out of a possible total 5 stars.
STARS: 5 out of 5 stars for naturalness
COMMENTS: This product is
so cool! It is 100% natural, totally effective, and produced by a
fabulous small green business, Rose of Sharon Acres. I love how they say
that by purchsing their products, you are feeding their goats! Their
goat milk soaps are phenomenal, as well, by the way.
This soap for teeth does not contain fluoride! There has
been so much debate lately over the use of fluoride in toothpaste, which
is proven to reduce tooth decay, but is also a serious toxin in larger
doses (main ingredient in rat poison).
Because of the intensity of the debate over the safety of
fluoride, I feel it is important for everyone to decide for themselves
whether they feel they should be ingesting products that contain
fluoride or not.
Depending on which website you go to, you will hear entirely
different arguments, one side claiming that fluoride is a "wonder
substance", totally harmless iin the quantities we are exposed to, and
the side claiming that corporate mongrels have dumped the fluoride
situation on the public as a means of using up large quantities of a
hazardous by-product. I am including links to both extremes, so you can
decide for yourself. In the meantime, Tom's toothpaste is a great way to
avoid fluoride until we know for sure.
