The Greater Green Screen Rating

This score is a ranking based on how natural,
eco-friendly, and non-toxic a product is, and is rated out of a possible total 5 stars.

STARS: 5 out of 5 stars for naturalness
COMMENTS: If every household in the U.S. replaced just one roll of 70 sheet virgin fiber paper towels with 100% recycled ones, we could save:

575,000 trees
1.5 million cubic feet of landfill space, equal to over 2,200 full garbage trucks
207million gallons of water, a year’s supply for 1,600 families of four
and avoid 35,000 pounds of pollution!

Personal Recommendation

I am always a little sparing with my paper towels, sometimes feeling like it's a waste to use them for a small clean-up job, or instead of a napkin, or to cover cooking food in the microwave. Now, with recycled paper towels, I feel better knowing that I am using paper that is already being re-used, saving valuable resources, and not compromising quality.

And now these paper towels are even more efficient, with new Select-a-Size sheets. Smaller sheets for smaller jobs, or tear more for the havey duty clean-ups around your house. Saves our resources and saves you money!

Something Else...

THE STORY OF RECYCLED PAPER
Each time you recycle a magazine, office paper or newspaper, it begins a second life. Once collected, the recycled paper is compacted into large bales and transported to the mill. At the mill, it is mixed with hot water and mechanically pulped to make a 'soup' where screens and filters are used to remove contaminants. The mix is washed to remove inks and then whitened to achieve a uniform color. Seventh Generation products are whitened without the use of chemicals containing chlorine that pollute the soil and water. After a final rinse, the pulp is pressed, dried and converted into a valuable product: Seventh Generation Paper Towels.

FOR YOU: Our new Right-Size sheets allow you to better match the towel with the job. We keep our product simple by never adding any dyes or fragrances during the paper-making process.

FOR YOUR HOME: Our paper towels are strong, absorbent and leave minimal lint to keep your surfaces clean and bright.

FOR YOUR PLANET: The roll cores in Seventh Generation Paper Towels are made from 100% recycled paper and are ready to be recycled again. The packaging is made from a minimum of 51% post-industrial recycled plastic.
