This score is a ranking based on how natural, eco-friendly, and non-toxic a product is, and is rated out of a possible total 5 stars.
STARS: 5 out of 5 stars for naturalness COMMENTS:If every household in the U.S. replaced just one box of 85 sheet virgin fiber facial tissues with 100% recycled ones, we could save:
299,000 trees,
772,000 cubic feet of landfill space, equal to 1,100 full garbage trucks,
108 million gallons of water, a year's supply for 850 families of four,
and avoid 18,000 pounds of chlorinated pollution! (Courtesy of Seventh Generation)

I love the idea of using recycled paper products, but I have to be honest: this facial tissue is not as soft as many regular tissue products. I have decided it's fine for regular day-to-day use, but when I get sick with a runny nose, I am a big baby and have to use one of those cushioned tissues with added aloe or lotion. So this is what I do: my bathrooms and kitchen are all stocked with Seventh Generation recycled facial tissue, but when a cold hits, I pull Puffs with Lotion out of the linen closet until my cold is gone. Hopefully Seventh Generation will come out with a lotionized-version soon so I don't have to compromise my eco-friendliness when I get sick!
