COMMENTS: Toilet bowl cleaners are known to be especially toxic, as a means to disinfect them, but it is possible to keep your toilet sparkling clean with a little more frequent cleaning and a non-toxic cleaner, like Mrs. Meyer's. A once a week scrubbing should be sufficient, and you will save our water systems from countless gallons of ammonia, bleach, toxic antibacterial agents, and other harmful synthetic chemicals.

Added bonus: if you ever have a dog in your house that sneaks a drink out of the toilet every now and then, like we do, then you may feel better knowing that there are no toxic residues leaching into the water. Scary thought, drinking toxic toilet bowl cleaner residue!
