Plant based non-ionic tensio-active surfactants, water, plant ethanol and citric acid.

I love this product! I had stopped using rinse aid altogether, since the environmental contamination involved made having spotless dishes seem not worth it. In addtion, Seventh Generation, Ecover, and Mrs. Meyer's all produce an automatic dishwashing liquid and/or powder that really didn't leave spots on my dishes.
But I heard such great things about Ecover's Rinse Aid that I just had to give it a shot. I was amazed! In addition to my dishes being sparkling clean, this product has actually eliminated ALL build-up from the bottom of my dishwasher. We use well water, and there were ugly brown stains (I'm assuming mineral deposits) on the bottom of the dishwasher, as well as some other slimy build-up that accrues over time with some natural dishwashing products. But not anymore! I didn't realize that Ecover's Rinse Aid would be so effective at actually cleaning my dishwasher, not just my dishes! What a wonderful surprise! I also have switched to using Ecover's Automatic Dishwashing Powder, which works wonderfully.
If you are finding spots or calcium deposits on your dishes when you remove them from your dishwasher, or deposits/build-up on the bottom of your dishwasher, then definitely give Ecover's Rinse Aid a try! It will eliminate spotting without doing damage to our water systems. I have read countless reviews that have rated this product just as high, if not higher, for effectiveness than conventional (and toxic) rinse aids.
One bottle will last quite a while. Fill the reservoir labeled "Rinse Aid" (in my dishwasher, it's on the inside of the door right under the detergent compartment). The dishwasher should just use what it needs, so you shouldn't have to fill it every time you wash your dishes, just when it runs out.
