STARS: 4 1/2 out of 5 COMMENTS:Burt's Bees labels this product as 99.68% natural. I haven't been able to figure out what is synthetic in the ingredients list, but it's obviously not much.
Try checking the label of your average lotion, and counting the number of ingredients that are indecipherable. Do you really know what you are slathering all over your body? Toxins can and do enter the body through the skin, which is porous, and often sensitive. If you have doubts about switching to a natural lotion, check out this list of 10 Synthetic Ingredients to Avoid in Body Products, and see how many are present in the products you currently use. You may be surprised.
Something else about Burt's Bees: Burt himself started this company years ago, selling homemade honey out of the back of his pick-up truck. Learn more about it by reading The Burt's Bees Story. .
This is a wonderfully sweet and nourishing lotion. If you don't like carrot cake, I'm not sure this product is for you. It really does smell like carrots! There is also aloe and Vitamin E in this lotion for luxurious softness. This lotion is specially formulated to moisturize, renew and nourish dry, sun-exposed skin.
I use this lotion occasionally, especially in the summer, but my real favorite is Burt's Bees Milk and Honey lotion (the carrots can get overwhelming if used too much).
