This score is a ranking based on how natural, eco-friendly, and non-toxic a product is, and is rated out of a possible total 5 stars.
STARS: 4 stars out of 5 stars for naturalness COMMENTS:There have been many studies and implications suggesting that the aluminum salts found in anti-perspirants may be toxic to your health. We know that aluminum itself is toxic, in high enough doses, and there have been numerous studies suggesting a link between build-up of aluminum in the body and Alzheimer's Disease. Other questions remain: Is it bad for developing children? Is there a link bbetween breast cancer and aluminum? Why do warning labels on anti-perspirants warn people whose kidneys aren't functioning properly to consult a doctor before using?
The truth is we have no definitive answers, though the research has convinced me that it is better to err on the side of safety, minimizing my exposure to the potentially harmful effects of aluminum and opting for all-natural herbs instead. This product represents a smart Green Screen choice.
This is a very pleasant, slightly floral deodorant (aluminum-free, of course!) that is very good at inibiting bacterial growth and thus also body odor. I switched from the woodspice (very woodsy and more manly) to this, which has a softer, more feminine fragrance.
