I've only recently discovered Dr. Bronner's in the last
year or so, and have fallen in love with their incredibly natural
cleaning products. Look closely at the labels- they are able to claim a
truly 100% natural ingredients list that many natural companies simply
cannot do. There are absolutely no synthetic ingredients or
petrochemicals used in these products whatsoever, and Dr. Bronner's has
recently become Fair Trade certified. They are an exceptionally
environmentally and socially sustainable company, and their products are
simply fantastic.
I LOVE cleaning with this Peppermint Liquid Soap! It is
so refreshing and invigorating, I actually start to feel energized as I
clean. The cleaning power of this soap is phenomenal- it can tackle your
dirtiest jobs, yet is gentle enough to use as a body soap. I first
heard about this product from someone who actually uses it for
everything, from bathing to cleaning to laundry. It is truly a "miracle"
product!
The Rose Liquid Soap is a very pleasing, soothing scent,
and though I prefer the peppermint, I know there are many people who
prefer the rose (just personal preference!).
A bit more about Dr. Bronner's Peppermint Castile Soap from their website:
"Our most popular fragrance. The peppermint essential oil
tingles the body and clears the mind. Because therapeutically
peppermint oil is a mild stimulant it increases vitality and clarity.
All oils and essential oils are certified organic to the National
Organic Standards Program. Packaged in 100% post-consumer recycled
plastic bottles."

“I received a 2oz sample of this
product with one of my orders from The Greater Green. I was intrigued
by the label and the claim for 18 different uses. I spent some time on
the www looking up these uses and tried a few myself:
Body wash- lathered
sufficiently for my taste, rinsed clean, not over-drying and left my
skin very tingly which is refreshing for summer showers.
Shampoo- NOT RECOMMENDED unless you are in a pinch and have a fabulous conditioner.
Hand soap- liked it.
Dish soap- liked it.
Laundry detergent- not my favorite, but no issues.
Bottom line- great multi-use product. Would be a great product to take camping!”

COMMENTS: Dr. Bronner's is
one of the most fabulous green companies out there. From their
commitment to Fair Trade to their use of organic ingredients and
recycled packaging, they have been a leader in the natural products
market for nearly 60 years. Their products are well-known for not only
being the best choice in organic, all-natural home products, but for
working incredibly well. And if you have never seen their packaging
before, you will be flabbergasted- never have I seen so many quotes,
beliefs, messages and other type on a single bottle in my life!!
From Dr. Bronner's website:
"For our 60th anniversary, we are pleased to announce that
we are now certified Fair Trade! We take care of our employees with
generous salaries and benefits (no-deductible PPO health insurance and a
great profit sharing/retirement plan that we fully fund), we cap
executive pay at five times the lowest-paid position, and we give all
profits not needed for business development to support progressive
charities and causes.
Organic integrity in body care means that the main
ingredients as well as secondary ingredients in an organic labeled or
branded product are certified organic, produced in compliance with the
National Organic Program. Our products are certified to the USDA’s
National Organic Program, which consumers rightly trust to ensure the
organic integrity of organic labeled products."
